Terms of Service

Effective July 29, 2026

1. Your account

You need an account to use Rynote. You're responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create one. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings.

2. Meeting recording and consent

Rynote joins meetings on your calendar to record, transcribe, and summarize them. You are responsible for complying with the recording and consent laws in your jurisdiction and for making sure meeting participants are aware Rynote is present, where required.

3. Subscriptions and billing

Free accounts include a limited amount of recording time per month. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance and renew automatically until cancelled. Cancelling stops the next renewal — you keep access through the end of the period you've already paid for. New Pro subscriptions are covered by a 14-day money-back guarantee — see our Refund Policy for details.

If you subscribe through the Rynote app on the Apple App Store or Google Play, the following applies in addition to the above: payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase; subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price for your selected plan; and you can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your Account Settings on the App Store or Google Play. Any unused portion of a free trial, if offered, is forfeited once you purchase a subscription.

4. Your content

You own the transcripts, summaries, action items, and notes Rynote generates from your meetings. We claim no ownership over your meeting content.

5. Rynote's intellectual property

Everything else — the Rynote name, product, and software — belongs to us. This agreement gives you a license to use the service; it doesn't transfer ownership of any of that to you.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Rynote to record meetings without appropriate consent, to use the service for any unlawful purpose, or to abuse the service or our API with automated or excessive requests beyond normal use.

7. Third-party platforms

Rynote connects to your calendar and to meeting platforms like Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams to join and record meetings on your behalf. You're responsible for complying with the terms of those third-party services.

8. Service availability and changes

We aim to keep Rynote available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access — features may be added, changed, or retired as the product evolves.

9. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Rynote is provided "as is." AI-generated transcripts and summaries may contain errors — review anything important before relying on it. To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Rynote is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. Continued use of Rynote after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
